Let's go shopping! The last cycle closed almost 4 years ago
Thank you for visiting Home of the Flockers shopfront.
We are currently sold out of our farm fresh eggs
Approximately 12-14 hours of light per day is required to stimulate a hen to lay an egg. Anything below that will cause her reproductive cycle to slow, and eventually shut down, triggering the hen to cease egg production until spring when the natural day length will increase to sufficient levels once again.
We do get eggs from our hens that were born in the spring, these pullet eggs are smaller and supply is limited.
We do not use artificial light to induce egg laying and let the hens rest as nature intended.
